The next few months are huge for boxing and below I have outlined which fights are coming up that us as boxing fans can look forward to.

April

April 8th – Liam Smith vs Liam Williams – Interim Super-Middleweight title – Liam ‘Beefy” Smith faces Liam Williams in a bout for the interim world title at the Manchester Arena, England.

April 8th – Vasyl Lomachenko vs Jason Sosa – WBO super-featherweight title – Lomachenko will defend his WBO strap to the more experienced American Sosa at the MGM National Harbour, USA.

April 15th – Ricky Burns vs Julius Indongo – WBA and IBF Super-Lightweight titles – Ricky Burns faces undefeated Julius Indongo in a unification bout at the SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland.

April 22nd – Martin Murray vs Gabriel Rosado – Middleweight – Murray faces Rosado in a bout which would help increase both fighters status in the adrenaline fuelled middleweight division at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.

April 29th – Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko – IBF and WBA Heavyweight titles – Joshua faces Klitschko in what could easily be a fight of the year contender, which sees two of the top heavyweights collide at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

May

May 6th – Joseph Parker vs Hughie Fury – WBO Heavyweight title – Parker is set to fight Hughie Fury in Auckland, New Zealand for Parkers WBO strap which he won in late 2016.

May 6th – Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr – Super-Middleweight – Canelo returns to the ring after a win over Liam Smith to face Chavez Jr in Las Vegas, USA.

May 13th – Kal Yafai vs TBC – WBC Super-Flyweight title – Kal Yafai defends his newly won title to Suguru Muranaka in Birmingham, England.

May 13th – Josh Warrington vs Marco McCullough – WBC International Featherweight title – Undefeated Warrington faces McCullough in his home town of Leeds, England.

May 20th – Gervonta Davis vs Liam Walsh – IBF Super-Featherweight title – Davis faces Liam Walsh at the Copperbox Arena in London, England in Davis’ first title defence.

May 27th – Kell Brook vs Errol Spence Jr – IBF Welterweight title – Brook returns to the ring after his defeat to GGG to face Spence at Bramall Lane, the home of Sheffield United football club, England.
