Born and raised in Watford, England, Joshua didnt start boxing till age 18. He won Gold at London 2012 Olympic Games. He always has been a very successful fighter and even though he started late he has proved anything is possible.

Previous fights

Dillian Whyte

Joshua really became more known after his fight with Dillian Whyte. The fight took Joshua the longest it has taken him to win – 7 rounds. Whyte did wobble AJ in this fight but it was not enough and Whyte was knocked out.

Charles Martin

This was the big fight for AJ, the world title shot. Martin came over to the lions den and was demolished. Joshua dominated him from the off. AJ knocked him down once with a heavy right hook. Martin got back up. And was knocked straight back doen again with same shot. This was the start of big things for Anthony Joshua and he was really recognised as someone who could rule the heavyweight division.

Dominic Breazeale

Compared with his easy title win over Martin, Dominic Breazeale, or Trouble as he is known, was no walk-over. It once again took Joshua 7 rounds to win the fight. Joshua knocked Breazeale down, he got back up and was knocked back down again which was when the fight ended.

Eric Molina

Joshua’s most recent battle was against Eric Molina. After not being able to fight Klitschko on such short notice Molina was chosen to fight AJ. Molina was an easy fight for AJ. The moment he stepped into the ring he was dominated and had no chance. Joshua nailed him and put him on the canvas just like all his other opponents.

Next fight

Wladimir Klitschko

Joshua is set to fight Klitschko in his toughest fight yet at Wembley Stadium on April 29th. This fight will be huge, Klitschko is a legend of boxing with huge amounts of experience. I think Joshua will beat Klitschko even with an experience disadvantage. I think this because Klitschko wont have fought in over a year when the fight happens.
