It’s official.

AJ is fighting Eric Molina of USA at the Manchester Arena on December 10th. The American has a record of 28 fights, 25 wins (19 by knockout) and 3 losses. Molina is a solid fighter who had his title shot against Deontay Wilder who stopped him in the 9th round. Molina was not demolished, dominated or walked on by Wilder, he hurt Deontay Wilder. This fight will not be another AJ domination as Molina’s extra experience and learning from his fight with Wilder. Any fight that includes either of these to is going to be dangerous.

Molina will for sure be completely focused, in his head he will think he will become the next IBF World Heavyweight champion. Will AJ be defeated? This show will definitely be one for the history books if Molina emerges victorious.  I think whoever wins will win before the final bell as both fighters are powerful and capable of winning the fight without it going the distance.

The undercard

Now lets talk about the undercard.

First of all Dillian Whyte vs Dereck Chisora. This fight is guaranteed to have boxing fans on the edge of their seats. Whyte (aka the body snatcher) most recently beat Ian Lewison in just 10 rounds. There is no question about it this fight is a grudge match. Both fighters hat each other. They have intense rivalry both want to KO the other. This fight for the British Heavyweight Title will be action packed for sure.

Next there is Scott Quigg. The super-bantamweight has moved up two weights to featherweight and is scheduled to return on this packed undercard. His last fight against World Champion Carl Frampton ended with Frampton emerging victorious after a split decision and Quigg with a broken jaw. After now recovering he is returning to fight an opponent who hasn’t been announced. I think Quigg will want this more than his opponent after only losing on split decision to Frampton he will want to back to being one of the world’s top featherweight fighters. This is set to be a showdown which may see Quigg redeem his record after suffering the devastating defeat to Frampton.

On the undercard Kal Yafai is also making an appearance to fight Luis Concepcion for the WBA super-flyweight title. Yafai who is undefeated is a fast, agile and powerful fighter who I think will become the new champion. Luis Ortiz will also be fighting on December 10th, Ortiz is an up and coming fighter who I’m sure will be making his mark in Manchester.

Recently British boxer Katie Taylor has decided to go pro. In what will be the 2012 Olympic Gold Medalists 2nd bout, she is also going be appearing on the AJ undercard. Taylor is one of the best boxers in the world demonstrating speed and power on a National, European and World class level.

As you can see this is one big night of boxing. There are multiple fights which will keep boxing fanatics on the edge of their seats throughout.
